Iāve been thinking for a while now that Iāll do this once I reached 1K subscribers and I did so here we go. Before I start I just wanted to say that I am in no way a professional. I am not a nutritionist or anything. These are just things I thought after some research and/or things I tried on myself that work for me. Over the past two months, Iāve lost about 5kg (11lbs) per month. So if youāre doing better, perhaps you donāt need to read this. Enough small talk now, here it begins:
1.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Try and exercise a little bit daily (I hate exercising but Iām trying to follow this advice myself anyway). You donāt have to do crazy work-outs. Go at your own rhythm. I personally try to do 5minutes squats ā 1 minute jumping sack ā 5 minutes squats at least once a week.
2.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Avoid junk food as much as you can! But itās ok to have some once in a while if you really have to (with friends or family). Just eat little of it. If itās just once, youāll be fine.
3.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā If people think you arenāt eating enough, just add lettuce to your meal. 100g of lettuce is only 15cals so you can full your plate with it and eat so little cal even though it looks like you ate a huge amount of food.
4.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Lettuce really is your best friend. You can eat a lot without having much calorie. So if youāre terrible hungry, have as much lettuce as you want. It will fill up your stomach and wonāt make you gain any weight.
5.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā GREEN TEA AND BLACK COFFEE ARE YOUR BEST FRIENDS. Drink them unsweetened. Even if you donāt like the taste, youāll get used to it.
6.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Weighed yourself only in the morning after you peed and before you drink any water. This is the only time in the day youāll see your actual weight on the scale. The rest of the day, itās higher because your body hasnāt processed the food yet and you are full with all the water you drank. So weighing yourself any other time of the day will just make you feel awful for nothing.
7.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā In the morning, drink 1 glass of the coldest water you can find and then 1 cup of hot unsweetened green tea. It will kick-start your metabolism and boost it for the day. THIS is your new breakfast.
8.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Never fast for more than 36h. After that, you are no longer burning sugar nor fat. After 36h your body starts eating away at your muscles, including your heart. Which is why so many anorexics end up having heart problems.
9.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Fasting for too long is bad for your body and health. It increases the risks of binging afterward (which is why so many people are stuck in a binging-fasting circle because after binging they fast to punish themselves / try to maintain weight and then it makes them binge) and makes it harder to lose weight afterward because your body stock everything you eat as fat because it doesnāt know when it will get food again.
10.Ā Ā If you really want/need to fast, then do it more safely. Fast for maximum 36h and then break your fast with something low cal like a serving of lettuce or an apple and then go back to fasting. Youāll see that youāll have even better results this way.
11.Ā Ā DRINK WATER. At least 2L per day.
12.Ā Ā Hot green tea and hot black coffee are natural appetite suppressant. Green tea is also well-known to help with weight loss.
13.Ā Ā Allow yourself to eat a little bit more sometimes. Or to eat something you like that has lots of calories in small quantity. This way, you satisfy your cravings and are less likely to end up binging.
14.Ā Ā If you arenāt eating much, take most of your meals in front of your family so they see you eating and donāt get too suspicious.
15.Ā Ā If your family is trying to make you eat more than you want, pretend you already ate a lot (ie say you ate cake with friends at school/work and it was so good you ate several slices) or that youāre not feeling well or say that youāre so full youāre stomach hurts / so full youāre going to vomit if you take as much as one more bite.
16.Ā Ā If someone hears your stomach growling, says itās because its digesting.
17.Ā Ā Avoid getting under 500cals on a regular basis because then your body will start stocking fat.
18.Ā Ā Even though I hate to exercise, I love to walk and it helps with my weight loss. Whenever you can, walk instead of using the bus / car.
19.Ā Ā If you ate too much because of family / friends, donāt freak out. Just go for a long walk or exercise. You will burn it off.
20.Ā Ā I know I like sometimes to skip lunch and instead, use my lunch break to go for a walk. You might wanna do the same.
21.Ā Ā Exercise doesnāt have to last hours long straight. When Iām at home and think about it, I do 1 minute of squats everytime I go to the toilets. And since we drink a lot of tea/water, itās quite often. š
22.Ā Ā If you feel dizzy / weak please eat something!
Ā So here are all the tips I can think of rn. I hope that they will be helpful to you guys. If you have any other tips, feel free to reblog this and ad your owns.

1. You hear it everywhere but increase water intake (4 to 5 lit a day)Ā
careful donāt eat a bunch of stuff and then expect the water to clean it off, it does not work that way.
2. Hot water with lemonĀ
can be taken before/with/after meals but in an empty stomach works best
3. Green tea its savior, not with sugar or honey
4. Avoid: junk food, flours, rice, salt, lactose and sweets. Fact: the less you eat candy the less you crave them.
5. Reduce your portions, if you can get a dessert plate, those are smaller and are usually of the correct measure.Ā
Careful: donāt fill the plate till it touches theĀ ceiling.
6. Stop drinking anything that is not water or green tea.
7. With a watch or with your cellphone timer control the time of you meals Snacks: 30 min
Meals: 45 to 60 min Drinks: at least 15 min if they are not water Between bites drop you utensil, wipe your face with a napkin, engage in conversation with your family/friends.
8. Three hours must pass between your last meal and you bed time.
9. Donāt reward yourself with food, your not a pet.
10. This is kinda sick but eat in front of a mirror naked.
11. Feeling a binge? Brush your teeth, look at thinspo, get out of the house.
12. Instead of saying NO to foods, think that you donāt care and you donāt want the food. Do something that makes you stop thinking about food.

āØWe all know that eating at a fast food restaurant with an ed can be a nightmare so Iāve compiled some tips and lower calorie options to help you guys. keep in mind I live in Australia so I found all the info for US restaurants onlineāØ
Get your food in a take-away bag, and donāt take it all out of the bag. if you lay your meal out it might draw attention to the fact that youāre not eating as much as your friends or family. If you just reach into the bag, the people your with will see your bag of food and you eating and will not suspect anything.
Opt for 0 cal drinks. Most cups in fast food restaurantsĀ arenāt see-through so no-one will be able to tell the difference between a coke and a coke zero or a water and a sprite. theyāll just see you drinking a soft drink and āsomeone with an eating disorder wouldnāt drink a soft drinkā
google the menu and calories before you leave. This way you will be able to plan better and not accidentally go over your calorie limit
Plan around it. If you know that youāre going to a fast food restaurantĀ save up your calories and get a burger. If people see you eat a burger they wonāt suspectĀ anything, after all, āan anorexic girl wouldnāt eat a burgerā
Ask for your burger without cheese. A pieceĀ of cheese from most fast food restaurantsĀ is around 60cal and getting rid of it lowers the calories a bit. And itās so easy to make excuses about it too,Ā āthe cheese here tastes weird, it makes me feel sick ect.Ā
When choosing meat go with chicken, that will bring down the calories in whatever your getting
Get an ice-cream. If you donāt want anyone to suspect anything get an ice-cream cone. most soft serve cones are about 200 cal (less than a burger or nuggets) and no one will suspect anything becauseĀ āsomeone with an anorexia wouldnāt eat ice-creamā
